This page is the key for inserting the image in it's correct geo-referenced position. The values for the Insertion Point "At", Scale Factor, and Rotation Angle can either be entered manually or set to "Specify on-screen". By definition Autocad® is expecting the following.
At
The point in the map that relates to the lower left hand corner of the image.
Scale Factor
The distance in ground units represented by the images width. This can be computed if the pixel size in ground units is known. The scale factor is the pixel size multiplied by the image width in pixels. For example if an image with a 2 foot pixel resolution is 3500 pixels wide then the scale factor is: 2.0 * 3500 = 7000'
Rotation Angle
The angle from the X axis of the map to the X axis of the image. In many cases the image is orthorectified and trimmed to a square sheet with North to the top, if this is true the value may be manually entered as zero.
